CONVERSATION CLUB

The idea for the conversation club came with the need of keeping in touch with the girls during vacation, at a time when it is almost impossible to go out or travel due to the pandemic. It was also an opportunity to keep interacting with the girls in English.

We had two groups of students from 7th and 8th grades with 12 participants and another with students from 9th, 10th  grades and 1ro BGU with 10 participants. I conducted 2 weekly sessions during 4 weeks where we talked about different topics suitable for their age groups. The topics were varied and entertaining, from “How would you describe your perfect day?” to “Who has had the biggest impact on you and why?”

For me it was a beautiful experience, not only to see some of my former students and keep each other company, but also getting to know other girls that haven’t been my students and share stories and experiences with them.

Here some comments from the girls:

I really enjoyed being in the English course since, in addition to practicing English, we also had a lot of fun. I think it was a good way to use our vacation time”.

CONVERSATION CLUB

For me this club was a wonderful idea. I liked it very much. We talked about very interesting topics and we had a lot of fun. I could learn English at the same time that I had fun and learned how other people think. Something that I really liked was that everyone was very kind. It was also amazing because for me it was a way of not wasting my time”.

CONVERSATION CLUB

This club has been an amazing experience for me. I feel that in all the sessions we shared very special moments with each other, always expressing our opinion without the fear of being judged. We always listened to the stories our classmates told, learning and having fun at the same time.

I am very thankful to teacher Marina for organizing this conversation group, as it was an excellent use of our vacation time to improve our English.

I felt very welcomed and happy to belong to this beautiful practice”.

CONVERSATION CLUB

This English Club has been totally awesome. Besides improving our English skills during vacation time, we spent a lot of time sharing experiences and ways of thinking.

I think this club was more than just a club. It was a way of getting to know others´ lives, their dreams, their stories and their personalities.
I am really thankful for this course, especially with teacher Marina, who took some time from her day for us, to teach and talk to the students.

I have to say that I really enjoyed it and in some way I remained connected to the language during these hard times”.
