Good morning Los Pinos Highschool. My name is Alicia Rosas and I graduated in 2013 from the school. I really enjoy seeing what you share from students who have travelled abroad. I want to share with you that I am a dual language immersion teacher in kindergarten, in an island of United States called the Outer Banks. The school year that passed 2019-2020 was the first year of the program where we were the pioneers and my partner Xoshilt Romero and I taught Spanish to children from First Flight Elementary school. We are starting our second year. My partner will now be teaching first grade with the children who were kindergarteners last year. And I will be teaching the Kindergarteners.

Through the pandemic we don’t give up. We continue moving forward with the purpose of teaching Spanish to these children who have learned to steal our hearts. I am very proud and happy to have been a part of Los Pinos School because I was taught values and appreciate having learned English and French because it has opened so many doors for me professionally, not only in First Flight but also all over the world. I am attaching the local news from the newspaper coastland times in North Carolina. I didn’t know that you would publish this type of news and I became very happy after reading the experiences of other students from the school.
